Evergreen is a mildly alkaline cleaner designed for general purpose cleaning of oil, grease, and dirt. It is safe on aluminum, zinc, plastic, glass, and most other surfaces. Evergreen uses the power of citrus to break through and loosen tough oil and grease, while special emulsifiers lift away dirt and soil leaving a clean surface. It is biodegradable, contains natural citrus, and is less irritating to hands than most industrial cleaners. Evergreen does not contain any Section 313 toxic chemicals, it is phosphate free, and does not contain any phenols (a reproductive inhibitor to aquatic life).
